rootcause_PPE_highperf_2.2014-2.2016_3inch_72dpi_rgb_transparentSteppingstone is proud to have been awarded Root Cause’s top “High Performer” rating in recognition of The Steppingstone Academy’s college access services. Out of the national study, The Steppingstone Academy was one of only four organizations in the cohort to receive “High Performer” status.

Root Cause conducts comprehensive and independent analysis for nonprofits committed to improving their programs. High performing organizations, they explain, “display an extremely high level of competence in all the program quality and organizational health areas assessed. This level is very difficult to attain.”

Root Cause commended The Steppingstone Academy for being “one of the most data-driven organizations in the cohort,” and for beginning our work with Scholars at such a young age.

PRISM_screen shotPRISM reports recognize Steppingstone programs as “Top Performers”

In 2014, The Steppingstone Academy and the College Success Academy were recognized as “Top Performers” in several program management practice areas evaluated by Boston After School & Beyond and the National Institute of Out-of-School Time as part of the Boston Summer Learning Project.

For the past two summers, The Steppingstone Academy and the College Success Academy have been evaluated using the Assessment of Afterschool Program Practices (external observation) and Survey of Academic and Youth Outcomes (student survey) tools developed by the National Institute of Out-of-School Time, who has partnered with Boston After School & Beyond. The results of these evaluations show areas where Steppingstone programs excel and areas that present opportunities for growth, as well as Steppingstone’s performance in comparison to other summer learning organizations in the greater Boston area.
