Current Teaching Opportunities

Hiring 6th grade math teachers for Steppingstone’s College Success Academy:

  • 6-8 hour weekly commitment on site
  • Salary of $3170 (approx. $24/hour), prorated based on start date
  • Classes held at Edison School in Brighton
  • Dates: immediate start through May 12
  • Class schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:10 – 6:10 p.m. (Start time may be flexible; salary will be prorated based on start time.)
  • Three evening (6:15-7:30) faculty meetings are also required through the spring
  • Teachers must commit to teach for the entire spring semester, through May 2016

Qualifications

Candidates must have teaching experience, a strong background in the subject area, and an interest in working with diverse populations. Graduate students will be strongly considered. Undergraduate degree is preferred, though undergraduate students in a teacher-training program may be considered. Certification is not required. Boston Public School teaching experience is a plus.
