Helping Scholars transform their lives
For 30 years, Steppingstone has provided free college-access programs to families who dream of college for their children, but face serious obstacles. Today, we serve 1,600 students throughout Boston.
Steppingstone Scholars commit in 4th or 5th grade to the hard work necessary to graduate from college, and our team spends more than a decade preparing, advising, and supporting each student and family.
The Steppingstone Foundation runs three programs in Boston:
The Steppingstone Academy prepares middle-grade students from historically marginalized communities for admission to, and success at, top independent, Catholic, and public exam schools.
The College Success Academy, provides after-school and summer academic programming to students attending four Boston public K-8 schools: the Donald McKay, the Jackson/Mann, the Edison, and the Gardner Pilot Academy.
The National Partnership for Educational Access is a membership association for organizations, programs, and institutions that are committed to educational access for underrepresented students. NPEA has more than 300 members in 34 states.
When you join Steppingstone, you become part of an incredible SUCCESS EFFECT, which is changing communities throughout Boston, the country, and the world.
