Favorite hobbies: Thrift shopping, reading, eating sandwiches, listening to folk music, and collaging

Favorite book: The Sun Also Rises by Ernest Hemingway
If I could have one super power it would be: The ability to freeze time
Interesting fact: I once studied performance and stage combat with the Royal Shakespeare Company.
Why I work with Steppingstone: I was interested in working for the College Success Academy because I had a few Scholars in my classes during my student teaching this year, and they were such wonderful humans and students that I wanted the opportunity to work with more kids just like them. Plus, any organization that gives students the skills and support they need to become college students is A Okay in my book. Super excited to be here!
Highlights so far: Winning teacher of the week? Also the Wildcats just completed their final drafts of their “I Am From” poems and it was really wonderful learning more about them and seeing how far their writing has come in just a week’s time!
My favorite part: Getting the opportunity to teach two of my favorite books, riding the bus with the Scholars, and occasionally playing some kickball.
