2019-2020 Volunteer Tutor Application

Steppingstone S.M.A.S.H.

We are no longer accepting volunteer applications for the 2018-2019 school year. Please check back in September!

Offered every Saturday throughout the academic year, SMASH (Saturday Mentoring and Study Hall) is a two-hour study hall where Scholars can work independently, collaborate with other students, and receive one-on-one tutoring.

Volunteers support Scholars by serving as tutors and mentors, and these meaningful relationships help students gain confidence, build their academic skills, and stay on track for college.

The Board of Young Professionals

Are you a young professional in the city of Boston who’d like to give your time and talents to support the mission of The Steppingstone Foundation? Consider applying for a position on the Board of Young Professionals!  The Steppingstone Foundation’s Board of Young Professionals engages individuals in their 20s and 30s to support Steppingstone’s mission of college success for underserved students by raising awareness of the organization in the community; fundraising to support Steppingstone programs; and building a network of like-minded individuals who are passionate about education and college success. Board of Young Professionals members also serve as mentors for college-aged scholars at Steppingstone.

Board of Young Professionals members represent a variety of career fields but share a common interest in supporting Steppingstone’s mission and goals. Members of the young professionals group are committed to advancing the efforts of Steppingstone through volunteering, fundraising, mentoring, and networking.
